The NSW state opposition are calling for a pamphlet that provides young people with information on reducing harm when taking drugs to be pulped.
The pamphlet, produced by the NSW government and targeting people aged 18-29, is available through music retailers, clubs, libraries and universities.
According to the Acting Opposition leader Andrew Stoner, the pamplet "ought to be pulped completely. This is sending a message that illegal drug use is OK.
"We ought to be putting our resources into ensuring kids stay off drugs and, for those who have actually become addicted, into helping to get off drugs."
In 2008, the NSW government were forced to pulp a brochure for year year 9 and 10 students that took a similar harm minimisation approach to drugs.
What do you think? Do you think this sort of information condones, or even encourage, drug use?

Calls for this harm minimisation pamplet to be pulped frustrates me. I think young people are savvy enough to see that the government isn't promoting drug use, but rather helping people to stay safe. Give us a bit more credit!
